So, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Syrah, are all names of the grapes that the wines come from?

When you have a bottle on your hand and a glass to the other don’t wait about nothing, the wine is ready to drink, just relax and enjoy it regardless of the experiances, don’t you know that noone knows everything about the wines. Only if you are going to be an expert then you must try hard. Cheers.

Well done. Why does cabernet have more “tannic structure” than the others? Doesn’t the tannin come from the oak barrels it is stored in? Do we just expect as custom that cabernets are aged longer before consumption than the others?
